Caesar The Geezer - 2nd Tom Leykis linkup 10-Aug-1995

Caesar's linkup with the Tom Leykis show was so popular that 6 weeks later he did it again.
Another entertaining two hours.

Caesar made an appointment to do another linkup in a months time. Unfortunately when that happened he was no longer at the station.

Caesar did his show as normal on Friday 1st September 1995. When he came into work on Monday (4th Sept) he was called into an office and told he was fired (along with Terry Christian who did what was to be his final show the previous day). The listeners weren't told why he was sacked, with people enquiring on air quickly getting cut off.

In December Caesar appeared on Radio 4's "PM" programme and gave his own explanation of why he was sacked.

Caesar linked up with the Tom Leykis Show in the USA.
Tom's show was broadcast on 200 stations across North America, and Talk Radio UK could be heard across all of the UK and parts of Europe.
They talk about the Hugh Grant story, the OJ Simpson trial, freedom of speech, and more.

Some short clips that were on one side of a c90 along with the final 20 minutes of a Caesar show (I'll post that in my next post).

- A little bit of an interview with Dannii Minogue. Presumably she was on longer but that's the only bit I heard.

- Caesar has a chat with the World-famous Larry King who was due to interview Margaret Thatcher in a few hours.

Caesar The Geezer & Dave Cash - Kenny Everett Tribute 4-4-1995

On the day Kenny Everett's death was announced Caesar took to the air with special guest Dave Cash who'd worked with Kenny in his pirate radio days on Radio London as well as later on Capital Radio. With very little Kenny material to play, listeners were invited to call in and play any recordings they might have. Caesar, Dave and the callers share reminiscences about Kenny.

After Wild Al did his 4 weeks on the station he was replaced with Mike & Chad. They also did 4 weeks. They did 2 more shows after this one, being replaced with Ian Collins on 10th April.

Caesar The Geezer's smoking protest 24-3-1995

This is Caesar's smoking protest show in it's entirety. (all news and ads intact apart from the first ad break which I cut at the time of recording.)

Caesar informed the listeners that he'd been told by management that he was no longer allowed to smoke in the studio, and by way of protest he was doing his show standing outside in Oxford Street.
